According to the internet, this is the original cover which shows a Swedish tank from WWII when I’m pretty damn sure that’s a Centurion tank.
The Centurion is a British tank which was/is operated by the Swedish armed forces and it is also true that the project began during WWII. The thing is that the Centurion did not enter service until 1946 which means that the vehicle pictured could never have been involved in the events which has inspired the record.
I mention this because: a) I am a pedant and b) I thought that, in some Freudian way, it might be indicative of the inevitable impotence of black metal?
I could, of course, be completely mistaken.
I also noticed that the re-release uses a different image. This time it’s a German Tiger tank: It’s a classic choice but a bit obvious. They should have gone for the Panzer IV, a proper Blitzkreig tank.
As you were…..
