Matt is one of Southsea and Portsmouth’s legendary skateboarders since all the way back to the 80s. This footage was filmed all in one evening about a year ago, still one of the best skaters to ever step on a board on this fair isle.

I guess this should also cover today’s listening too, eh?

All Tomorrow’s Parties is in two weeks. Sonic Youth are playing amongst a shitstorm of other good shows…I can’t wait. Let’s hope they keep it pre-millenium (although the last album was great).

Southsea’s SOS Bored has put up a couple of ruffcut edits of footage from 2008-2009 of their team and friends. Footage includes Jak Tonge, Adam Keys, Kev Kirkham, Toby Taylor, etc. Keep an eye on their blog for more upcoming edits.

This is from the “In God We Trust, Inc” original session that was lost when the reel deteriorated. The final versions that made the albums were all different second versions, but the originals are preserved here. ..and they’re rad.

Hats off here…It looks like that hidden spot has now been given legit status. I guess that means the council won’t be closing it down if it is ever given the “skatepark” label*.

PS – Anything now done in that place is going to be way easier. 90% of the challenge before was dealing with the flatbottom.

*A long story.  These tired fingers can’t take that on right now.
