Old Portsmouth’s renovated Round Tower opens its doors tonight, with its first exhibition: The Strong Island Exhibition, featuring 40 or so creatives from the island of Portsmouth (yes at high tide it is an island linked by bridges). The webssite www.strong-island.co.uk has obviously got heavy involvement, and that is headed up by Tweaker editor Gonella, and Good buddy of the Tweak – Tristan. Find out more about this exhibition and the unique space it is in here: www.theroundtower.co.uk

Tweaker don’t do product reviews, mainly because all things are mostly the same, but every now and again, shit comes in that is mad-rad ya dig.
Stu-pot at Lovenskate sent us the Tea-riffic boxset. It contains an 8.25 hand screen locvnskate deck. Hand screened decks once a staple of the industry are rarer than rocking horse shit these day. Also included are some stickers, a Tshirt (again hand printed here in the UK at The Mangle screenprint studio). But the pista-motherfucking-resistance is the inluced tea set, comprising of a teapot, and 2 mugs*. All 3 china items were screenprinted by Lovenskate, but the mind boggles as to what crazy technique Stuie inventented.
I like to think of Stu wearing a wizards cape and hat as he perfoms his screenprinting magic. Obviously he have the cape and pointy hat off when people come and visit Castle Mangle. Tea-riffic is a collaboration between Lovenskate and Carhartt. Carhartt, and the gentlefolk who work there are all awesomely epic, buy their shit and hug the sales rep when you see him.
Available from your favourite store, I hear Bored and SS20 have em, and you can get the at the Lovenskate online store too. Only 30 of the box sets were made.
Check out the photos and shit, I need some fresh brew. *Breakfast tea bags included.
