One of my favourite little board companies out right now is Geoff Dermer’s Kitsch Skateboards out of Vancouver. The company has grown exponentially in the last 18 months and this company profile video highlights the team and company’s history and is well worth a watch:

You might remember from last year we posted about the Canadian Shoot to Thrill held by Color Magazine and Red Bull. The event is a little similar to Document Magazine’s Big Push, the 10 Canadian teams scattered around the country have 72 hours to film a video part with 10 rolls of film…pretty amazing. This year’s entrants are are great mix of skating and cinematic stories and all are worth a watch, in particular the Vancouver entry by (French) Fred Mortagne featuring Rick McCrank, Bradley Sheppard and Torey Goodall, beautifully shot with an artistic and original twist:
